Pros

Free lunch and casual dress. If you're Jewish you'll get paid more

Cons

This place is a sinking ship and the workers recognize it. Employee welfare must be the least of their priorities. The second they can find someone to do your job for less you're out the door. The company is also poorly managed, letting certain desks blow up to the point that bonuses get cut and withheld companywide (which is exactly what happened this year), having junior ops people get paid more than traders, senior traders that are so dumb they don't even know how to save a word document, and overall woeful communication between management and the workers. Because of all this, there was a mass exodus of employees this Q1. You won't hear about this much because they make all employees sign confidentiality and non-disparaging agreements. Sometimes they'll hold bonuses hostage until you sign said agreements. They have a team of attorneys in Chicago whose sole job is damage control against its' own employees or recently departed employees.

Pros

Free food, barista, decent office

Cons

Chaotic management & Extremely unstable hiring and headcount planning. I was hired, fully onboarded, assigned work, and then terminated 11 days after my start date with no performance or conduct issues cited. Management explicitly stated the decision was “without cause” and related to internal restructuring rather than anything I did. This creates significant risk for new hires, especially those relocating, turning down other offers, or pausing interviews to join the firm. Decisions appear to be made very quickly and reversed just as quickly, with little regard for the impact on employees. There is limited transparency around internal decision-making, and junior employees seem particularly exposed to sudden changes in direction. While the office culture and onboarding experience initially appeared positive, that surface impression did not translate into job security or clear management accountability. Prospective candidates should be cautious and ensure they fully understand team stability, budget approval, and long-term headcount commitment before accepting an offer.
