Cons
Getting paid on time due to production issues without any other source of income can be quite taxing on your finances and this is coming from someone that averaged 2 sales a week over a year. Production/ contract errors are extremely costly to your commissions. That $5000 commission check will be $500 with regularity. Can be very long hours or very few depending on whether your lead cancels or isn’t qualified. Sales training system can be high pressure, so if you’re used to selling off rapport only, this might feel wrong. Unfortunately this job rewards those that want power and most that succeed aren’t great leaders or empathetic by nature. So if you’re looking for an understanding boss or have a lot of excuses you’ll be sorely disappointed. I personally didn’t have this problem so I didn’t necessarily view this as a con per say. It can be irritating however when life gets in the way as it inevitably will do and nobody gives you any breathing room. So work / life / mental status here doesn’t have time for your excuses. It’s fast paced and hardcore 24/7.
