      Pros

      The pay has been great. More than I have made in nursing. I have made great raises since I have been with the company.

      Cons

      The staffing is below standards with no support from upper manangement to make any changes. There doesn't seem to be any concerns for the well-being for the teammates and their needs for time off. They don't care and will allow for RNs to work 60-80 hours a week or more without making plans to ease the burden. Not very organized, and not given resources to make the changes that are needed to make it a better work environment.

      Flexibility of scheduling, availability of other facilities where you could get your hours, recognition, stable work hours (more on DaVita Chronic Facilities)

      Cons

      Hourly rates are not the best; you know what time to come in to work, but you never know what time you'll go home (this is specific to DaVita Acutes Facilities)

      Pros

      The core values are not just words on paper like many employers, they are real and alive. As a manager, my performance review includes feedback on how I live the core values in my role at DaVita. I love the autonomy and challenge my role provides. A job is what you make of it, at DaVita once proven credible and competent you will be offered more interesting projects and opportunities. Top performers are differentiated here which I love. If you are an "A" player who typically competes against "C" players, this environment will be an adjustment for you. You learn more when surrounded by a higher caliber of talent. I've taken many valuable leadership lessons away from DaVita, I would be lying if I didn't admit those inspirations and lessons have also helped me in my non work life. There is no perfect company, or job - but I am very happy in my role and glad I choose DaVita 4 years ago
