      Pros

      we have a fairly good facility manager. although other employees tend to complain a lot it to me it is not that bad. i came to davita from a privately owned dialysis center. i can say davita is ten times better to work for than my previous employer.

      Cons

      sadly there are so many machine problems. we are using the 2008h machines. they have seen better days. constantly down. expected better training and inservices. i have yet to receive an inservice.

      Work/life balance Good culture - the focus on mission and values from senior management is good Opportunities to move around - the encourage you to think beyond your present job

      Cons

      Mediocre pay While the executives are focused on the mission and values, much of it is smoke and mirrors when it comes to running a center Divisional management is not as strong If you work in the field, you will work with people who are not intelligent, to put it politely Too many people who keep asking you to fill out bureaucratic reports to justify their own existence

      Pros

      Davita's core values are to be the best at everything are something to strive towards. I believe these things were important to management at one time.

      Cons

      Total indifference directed to the staff. Long hours once 10-12 hrs are now13-16 and 2-3 shifts now 3-4 shifts. FA frequently deligating work load and working from home, not engaged in operations. Constent shortage of supplies(ie: gloves, gause,tape) Upper management seem to have no further intrest in the pt's or the staff. Once good benefits have turned into dismal health insurance, no match to 401, and impossible standards to reach goals for bonus program.Hard driven staff at each other's throat's. Wonderful caring RN's threatening to leave.
