Pros

Good place to start out in the restaurant game. You will learn all parts of the restaurant, as they cycle you through. The job is pretty easy to be successful at.

Cons

Corporate corporate corporate! In the worst way, they don’t give you the ability to think or be innovative. Every situation is different, unique, and specific to that particular case. Decision can’t be made by just hitting the “next” button. Pay is ok....,You cannot get a huge raise, and they are very regulated and small. It really doesn't matter what you have done, you are just a number and you will receive the same low raise as the rest of the pawns. Biggest problem I have is upper management’s lack of support for their managers. They are all about their hourly employees, and not their managers. They really want to be part of the fortune 100 companies list. So they give a ton of power to the hourly employees and strip it from the managers. The problem with this is that all of the hourly people know this to be true, so they exploit it!

Pros

Free drinks, on time pay, uuuuuuuuuuum let me think

Cons

The General Manager is like a robot programmed to smile, but incapable to support people development on the job. They are serving a "nice" Italian dinner for the price of a fast food combo while asking the server to run back and forward with soup and salads. What they sell has nothing to do with authentic Italian food but they try to sell an experience of something that should sound Italian... Unfortunately even an American tourist to Italy could tell the difference. Customers there are generally cheap on tips, but generous in criticism.
