Pros

- Very high responsibilities for people in their twenties: even as a first job I have been able to meet with C-level executives (CIO, CISO, CFO ...). You can quickly gain new responsibilities by mentoring people in the company and accessing managing roles. - Stimulating technological environment: Darktrace's technology is one of the most helpful for customers with their cybersecurity, and is constantly evolving. - Flat and opened enterprise culture: Darktrace is better than a business school, or a computer science degree. Low number of hierarchical levels, so one can quickly discuss with high profiles in the company. Mentoring is rooted in the enterprise culture. Not a "shark environment" as you could find in other organisations' sales departments. - Big and transparent rewards: Darktrace is very successful. By working there, one can benefit from those results with attractive commission plans. Fixed incomes and commissions combined, Darktrace pays much better than in finance with the same seniority.

Cons

- Lots of travels: if you don't like moving from where you live, spending a day or two in other regions, or abroad, Darktrace is not for you! Because you need to establish long term relationships with customers, you meet them wherever they are (and sometimes they are far). For me, that lifestyle was a very good fit. I have discovered many places. I have always been back home on week ends. I can understand that some people prefer to stay in the same office every day. That is why most of Darktrace's employees are between 24 and 29.

Pros

Really nice people (lots of fellow nerds). Interesting projects. Cutting edge technology. Great company prospects. Good pay, with share option bonuses. Good range of languages (python, C++, php, javascript). Flexibility on what you work on. Hands of management with full control over your own projects, no micro-managing.

Cons

Very hands off management. Some lack of communication on high level business decisions.
