      Taking on a large market opportunity with a bunch of smart people

      Pros

      The intellectual horse power here is through the roof. We have the smartest and brightest talent in the Valley building a best-of-breed platform that is solving complex big data problems. No one comes in with an ego, no matter how successful they are. People are collaborative and everyone is eager to figure things out. Everyone shares the same passion and excitement to make this an awesome company.

      Cons

      There is a lot of work to get done, which to me is the fun part!

      Excellent tech stack. A lot of opportunity to learn and exposition to all things data.

      Cons

      Sales are always pushing you to get more out of the accounts. Nobody cares if this is the best for the customer as long as sales meet their quota. I've been in sales in many other places, but no place care less to you and customers than here. It is all about the number. I need to be fair that in some organizations (things are verticalized by industry) you might have a different experience I heard.

      Fully remote work was a pro

      Cons

      Couldn’t use the continuing education allowance for business program so it went to waste, micromanaging leadership, no scope to grow and get promoted even after multiple conversations with leadership. The job was advertised with more scope than my previous role but was a step back career wise. The company really takes on the disadvantages of both a corporate and startup environment with none of the advantages. It’s also a huge Salesforce club so if you didn’t come from Salesforce, it can be really challenging to be included.
