      Wonderful training but unclear comms structure

      Pros

      - excellent colleagues - good managers and leaders who will make changes - very good training and sales methodology

      Cons

      - poor account delegation - accounts can only be held up to 4 months (upsell to month4) - poor comms structure (capped and not beneficial for large deals)

      Pros

      Datadog provides employees with the opportunity to rapidly progress their career path & expertise in a fast paced environment. Being able to work for a company with a market leading product, focused on continuous innovation, backed by a supportive leadership team makes it an exciting & rewarding place to be. Generous MBO’s are provided for your first 9 months whilst you build your business & knowledge of the extensive product offering. Datadog challenges you, puts you out of your comfort zone with the aim to help you to continually learn & develop your skill set.

      Cons

      Heavy focus on pipeline generation, it’s a non negotiable at Datadog, this can feel intense to start with. Not necessarily a con, but carving out the time to educate yourself on new products/ features can be challenging due to the fast paced nature of the day job

      Best place I've ever worked - great product, great culture, great people

      Pros

      - Phenomenal product and market fit (customers truly love the platform) - Great leadership and development culture - Competitive compensation that allows new reps to build their pipeline without a lull in earnings - Team dynamics are collaborative, fun and supportive

      Cons

      Very few cons, if any - Datadog is all about PG / new business because management knows that once the product lands with a new customer, the revenue is almost guaranteed to grow. This might be considered a con to someone who isn't interested in a new business role / doing pipeline generation themselves.
