      Pros

      - Great pay - Good work / life balance - Product is well-designed and good at what it does and is thoughtfully expanding to new use cases - Product used by biggest (and coolest) companies on planet - Everyone on product & engineering is extremely intelligent, most are thoughtful and kind - You spend little to no time managing Jira or writing tickets, mostly focusing on vision and execution

      Cons

      - 401k match should be 10%, right now it's essentially nothing - After passing interviews, I lost other job offers to wait for team matching (takes time to find a team)

      The grass is greener here

      Pros

      Datadog has excellent products and has made some really strong hires in CS over the last 24 months. CS at Datadog is the standard for how this function should operate at a large company, and even though there are sometimes obvious growing pains, our leadership team is working things out with fairness and a long-term vision in mind.

      Cons

      Product usage and pricing can get confusing internally and externally. We are a 3-day in-office hybrid workforce. Salary is starting to get more competitive elsewhere.

      Still a great company, despite growing pains

      Pros

      - good engineering challenges, decent impact opportunities - good managers - good mission - lots of room to grow and move - quality, friendly people - good comp - great offices, support, and environment

      Cons

      - ever increasing bureaucracy, process, and other tedious stuff. probably par for the course with any bigorg - diluted focus and vision in some engineering areas. can be frustrating finding and doing impactful work. - strong drive "forward" means some legacy headaches are tolerated for too long - unrefined inter-department processes can cause headaches with security, infra, devenv situations
