Pros

The people you work with are really pretty good people. Put in an unwinnable situation though. Really great Health Insurance Benefits.

Cons

No clear vision. How can this company keep getting investors to buy into something that is so very repeatable by someone else. Take away the DOD and what do you really have? Nothing. Leadership keeps changing, which is a problem since there is no clear vision, and they never stick with a plan long enough to see results while supporting a mediocre product. Then a new person shows up and his idea is something that worked 5 years ago. The company is funded because of one large Government Contract. It cannot penetrate any new markets and there is no real vision to do so. When companies cut software budget Dataminr is always the first to go. One day without warning people will just be gone, and they are never mentioned again by Management. These are not low performers either, they are high performers who simply fall out of favor.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed working with our talented team and found value in our health benefits—we agree that our people and their well-being are our greatest assets. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns regarding our strategy. While our work with government partnerships is a source of pride and a testament to our tech's reliability, Dataminr has a robust and growing presence across the global commercial sector and various public sector agencies. Our roadmap is built on proprietary AI that remains a market leader in real-time event detection. Regarding leadership and transitions: growth at scale often requires different expertise at different stages. While these shifts can be felt across the org, they are intended to sharpen our focus, not abandon it. We also take your comments on internal communication to heart. We aim to handle all departures with dignity and provide meaningful support to those transitioning out of the company. We wish you the very best in your next role and thank you for your contributions to Dataminr.
