Dataminr has a really cool product that has found a market niche--but the company is new enough that joining now will still offer the opportunity for employees to shape the future design and direction of the company

Cons

Full of a lot of young, intelligent people, so the competition for advancement into executive roles seems to be intense--but the vibe of company is relaxed enough to make you forget it!

You have also articulated so well the unique culture we have, where you are surrounded by driven, intelligent, and passionate colleagues who move quickly and keep you challenged, while also being relaxed, kind and respectful of each other’s work and time. Over the last year, we have grown all of our offices with a big focus on London, Seattle, and Virginia, and we continue to explore new global options as they make sense for us and our clients.

Dataminr is the first startup that I've ever worked for and I am so glad that I chose this company. The office is beautiful, the people are friendly and welcoming, and the perks are amazing! I am constantly learning here and there's always work to be done (which is great, in my opinion). My manager is a great team leader and really intelligent, as are most managers here. I love coming to work everyday and being surrounded by such smart and inspiring people. The product at Dataminr is unlike anything I've ever seen and it makes me proud to tell people what we do and how we make a difference all around the world with real-time breaking news discovery. The salary and perks here are unbeatable, Dataminr takes great care of its employees.

Cons

I genuinely don't have anything negative to say. Working at Dataminr is by far my favorite company that I've ever worked for.

-Products that you can get excited about because they actually help people in a meaningful way -Good funding and strong growth and business success so far -Opportunity to implement change and process where it's needed -For the most part, intelligent and talented people -Perks and environment like neat office space, catered food and beverages etc

Cons

-Not every process and function is in place, some things are still a work in progress, there are some things that need fixing, but that's a startup -Not yet at a point where there's clear career paths for upward mobility -Communication and Interaction from some of the Executives is lacking
