Pros

I worked at Dataminr for almost three years and it was phenomenal. Great culture, strong development plans, great process in place, and great people! Communication between departments was extremely strong. Any time I worked on cross departmental projects there was constant communication and support. Strong sense of community and personal responsibility.

Cons

Overall a great opportunity, communication from upper management down could be a little slow at times but never secretive or surprising.

Pros

I've been on the engineering team at Dataminr for a while and I've seen a lot of change, largely for the better. There is a spirit of openness and improvement across our team which fosters inclusion and feedback. The technical development is a blend of greenfield work and moving legacy systems into more modern platforms. There is a push/pull between delivering new commercial initiatives with new development and modernization efforts that shifts month to month, but it feels like a healthy balance. The product is fantastic and working with the AI teams that enable it is fun and challenging. Overall the people I work with everyday and the innovation we contribute to are what continue to excite me about the Company.

Cons

Priorities can shift occasionally with little context and later follows with business rationale. For engineers coming from slow/steady roadmap this could be a challenge.
