Pros

Dataminr is a fast-paced, exciting, and stimulating environment. So much is being done to make this an incredible place to work, spearheaded from some of our leadership who wants their employees to be happy, which is just another reason to work here. To be surrounded by brilliant people, who are passionate about making this company grow and succeed is very inspiring.

Cons

Depending on the job, this is not a standard 9-5, but they make it easy to stay here!

Pros

Dataminr's mission is really inspiring and forging a new path in real-time news discovery! The company has also come a long way recently in creating a great work environment. Free meals, great perks, fun events and a new space that foster collaboration across the entire company.

Cons

No significant downsides other than the normal growing pains of a hyper growth company. Constant change, including some employee turnover, but mostly for the positive. Also probably not the right company for those who don't enjoy a fast paced ever evolving environment.

Pros

Exciting and fast paced work environment. The company is on the cutting edge of breaking news and there's a real satisfaction in knowing that the work you do is providing tangible benefits to the users. Great company culture and lots of good perks make it actually enjoyable to come to work every day.

Cons

Still has some of the growing pains associated with startups. Need to be comfortable working at a company where there aren't yet clearly defined career paths. Shift work schedule isn't too bad but it's still shift work.
