Pros

Work from home Nice office

Cons

Company operates like a 5 person startup. Lack tech support to effectively do your job, Google docs - so frustrating!!! Micro management is alive and well, can’t sneeze without asking first. Commission plans are medieval and complex

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience while working at Dataminr. We’re glad that you enjoyed the balance of working from home while also having a nice office to work from when needed. Our leadership team is genuine in our intent to foster a performance-based culture where employees feel empowered to work as autonomously as possible. We have a culture that relies on strong partnerships and working cross-collaboratively, which is designed to foster teamwork and drive innovation and creativity. We continuously look to improve our processes, procedures, and guidelines, including our commission structures. At Dataminr we're extremely proud of our generous commission plans. We always strive to drive individual success by having competitive rates with plenty of opportunities for on-the-top achievement. We will continue to refine and evolve our plans to remain competitive and align with our Go-To-Market strategy. We understand that this can be frustrating at times. Thank you once again for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated.

Dataminr is definitely filled with an incredibly diverse set of professionals, with varied backgrounds, talents, and experiences; it is the fabric of our culture that helps fuel our collaboration, innovation, and our product road map. While all those positive elements are in place, in a growing company we are bound to have some growing pains. That said, we are determined to strike the right balance between various departments, leaders, and their teams. We recognize that we have challenging work ahead of us, and an amazing potential to positively impact the world and the clients we serve. Thank you for your contributions during your Dataminr tenure and we appreciate your review. We’ll continue to monitor and address these areas of concern.

It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoy our generous benefits package and that you are complimentary of your colleagues. This is always fantastic to hear. However, we recognize that the nature of our work, as a company that covers breaking events worldwide 24/7, inherently requires a unique work schedule and sometimes complex workstreams. Providing balance and supporting our employees' well-being are critical priorities on an individual basis and paramount to our success as a team.
