MSP - Not a good place to work. High turnover. Bad management.
Pros
This review is for the MSP Industries Corp. plant. The pay check does not bounce. This place will teach you a lot about how not to treat people, a positive when you move on to another company. A couple of the production supervisors are great natural leaders and they've earned the respect of their people. The materials team leaders and quality team leaders are one of the few bright spots here. They put a lot of effort into doing their jobs well but but certain unethical production leaders undermine them daily to "get their numbers." There are several good salaried people in non-management positions too. Unfortunately all those good people are overshadowed by too many bad managers, too many bad supervisors and too many bad unwritten policies of production numbers at the expense of quality.
Cons
The culture here is one of control with fear and several people in management follow the creed of "why take responsibility for your mistakes when you can blame someone else?" There is high rate of turnover with our salary and their hourly staff. Great people eventually leave for better opportunities. Most people confess they really dislike working here, both hourly and salary alike. Quality is just a suggestion until you get caught by the customer or the internal quality team.
