Pros

Drivers are really nice, customer service staff was very kind, sometimes you get free lunch, free company car if you work in sales, Operations staff is nice/outgoing. Employee Appreciation Week is a really thoughtful gesture of the company.

Cons

I have worked for Fortune 500 Companies- There's a reason why this company IS NOT Old Dominion, XPO, UPS, FedEx or DHL. Their CRM system is completely outdated. The Pittsburgh territory is too large of a territory for one person to manage, some days you will be in the car for two hours each way going to appointments or coming back from appointments, the local management team never spent ONE DAY making sales calls with me or making introductions with me. I never received any positive feedback no matter what, minimal support system. The team/other departments around you is very small compared to other companies. I felt like I was out on my own without any guidance or any teaching/training. You will be thrown out to the wolves, it's a sink or swim approach. I could do exactly what I was told, but it still wasn't enough. Out in the field five days a week, very difficult to focus on admin time, setting up the following week of meetings or working on billing/rerate issues when there's no days working from home. Pay was not worth it when working the amount of hours I was putting in. You will be working in at least 50-55 hours a week. Expect to work closer to 60 hours per week. I never had the opportunity to actually "sell". It was all about retaining and keeping the existing business. I have never been micromanaged like this in my life. Management would email me asking what I did between 11:30am to 1pm and would "check in" with me even though I am driving from appointment to appointment, and a lot of times it's far distances or I was speaking to customers on the phone, or on my lunch break. etc. This company has no class, they terminated me on a Friday afternoon on a day where I drove around 90 minutes away to meet clients, then made me go all the way back into the office to terminate me. They have no dignity. The amount of PTO was really poor and the insurance wasn't good. They don't offer sick days. If you are sick, that comes out of your PTO.
