Housing Authority - Lack of Communication/Low Morale

Pros

Working level staff are friendly for the most part. Most are wiling to help when they can.

Cons

Staff are overworked and held to impossible standards. Caseloads are inflated and morale is at an all time low. Management does not listen to the working staff and makes changes without thinking of the ramifications of their actions. Management is petty and retaliates against workers who attempt to voice their concerns. Staff are often terminated for inconsequential events.

Pros

Benefits are somewhat comparable to other counties, location is great. Flexibility in case of an emergency for self or a family member.

Cons

There isn't much emphasis placed on training for staff whether junior or senior level. Positions are generally stagnant. There is no upward mobility for employees who want to excel and if the employee excels, no recognition is given. This may not be the case in every department but more so than less!
