      Working at DeVry as an Educator combines both Corporate and Academic Experience

      Pros

      Work with Top-Notch, High Quality Faculty. On any given campus, Faculty have thousands of years of relevant real-world work experience, unlike schools with pure academics teaching. Students are above average, they work hard, and deserve the great jobs they get after graduation.

      Cons

      DeVry is the premiere private sector educator. Others in the market space dilute the segment and give it a bad perception. The truth is that the education at DeVry is as good as the professors that teach there, who are superb and can stack up against any Ivy League school. The problem is that too many outside political powers have targeted private sector colleges to perpetuate the misconception that public schools are better.

      Pros

      I'm currently having a hard time thinking of pros beyond the students that I met and the relationships I formed with them. Oh and there's a lot of free food..

      Cons

      For profit university with no care about the students, the education, or their employees. No work life balance, constant changes in staff, expectations, and rules. Hours of dials and sales, not helping people. The value of the education doesn't match the cost that students pay. Employees live in fear of lay-offs and management's mood swings. No upward mobility even though it is promised.

      The tuition benefit is great, employees are encouraged to take advantage of it There were several initiatives to promote employee financial, physical and emotional well being Good 401k policy If you show initiative, they will invest heavily in you

      Cons

      Health insurance isn't too great
