Pros

Many good people work at DVU. Good benefits, flex options. Many locations provide opportunity to relocate with many sister companies.

Cons

Lots of red tape at company. In recent years, the company got very secretive about how they were operating. For a technology university, the technology employees were using was very outdated, slow, unreliable. Very short sighted in how they operated. In recent years, the company cared less and less about their people.

Pros

Good People. Great incentives back before 2005. A leader among all for profit schools and has years of respectability. Hard work will get you promoted and for the most part there has been good leadership.

Cons

Gets caught in the same category with other shady for profit schools and has since suffered severely with enrollment. They've backed off in their recruitment efforts and now each campus is suffering from cutbacks. TV Marketting is poor as welll because they don't want to me compared to other for profit schools that have comericials on TV

Pros

Only reason to work there is the benefits. They are ok. However, I would never refer anyone to work at DeVry... even my worst enemy.

Cons

Mistreat employees by overworking and underpaying employees. No room for internal promotions. It is all politics. DeVry does not promote based on merit or hard work. Management is not qualified and just puppets for DeVry, Inc. They are a joke. DeVry should be investigated for HR payroll and confidentiality infractions. The school is unethical in their admissions requirements by requiring all advisors to ask for a referral in every phone call and interview or they are reprimanded. Admission goals are really unrealistic sales goals. Promotions and reviews are biased and unfair. Metro President only cuts budgets and condones layoffs. The employees voice is unappreciated and unheard.
