Pros

Good People. Great incentives back before 2005. A leader among all for profit schools and has years of respectability. Hard work will get you promoted and for the most part there has been good leadership.

Cons

Gets caught in the same category with other shady for profit schools and has since suffered severely with enrollment. They've backed off in their recruitment efforts and now each campus is suffering from cutbacks. TV Marketting is poor as welll because they don't want to me compared to other for profit schools that have comericials on TV

Pros

DeVry provides good benefits. Compensation is competitive in comparison to other for profit universities

Cons

Like most for profits, DeVry is experiencing low enrollment which has resulted in some lay-offs. Since change management and communication has never been one of their strengths, the work environment has become very stressful.

Pros

Working in higher education and helping students. Degree program mix is extensive which offers student's vast aray of degree options.

Cons

Too many nights & weekends, campus mangement not willing to honor flextime, although offered as a corporate benefit. Campus managment doesn't care about employees. Tuition is extremely high, not everyone can afford it. High stress positions. Management fails to recognize what an employee does right, more focus is done on what you do wrong.
