Pros

Helping students reach graduation and at one time the people working there.

Cons

The home office I a bit out of touch. They spent millions on an Olympic partnership to so they can be visible in Brasil where they are currently making money. Truthfully these students aren't interested in that - the money would've best been served to update the technology and invested back at the campus level of the company. Instead there were cutbacks until it actually hurt the students , the staff, the resources. DeVry is truly a joke now. The reputation is as bad as the punch lines about them on sitcoms and movies.

Pros

Decent base pay, selling education to people who might never have gone to school, "warm" calling environment, tuition reimbursement, decent 401k

Cons

Selling people who might never have gone to school a very expensive education that likely will not last past the 2nd semester. Forcing these people to take out massive student loan debt, fratty environment, typical sales mentality, 100 avg calls a day, 8 hours avg talk time a week, etc. Quotas are extremely high based on the expense of the product your selling.. .etc

Pros

Mostly freedom to determine classroom experience with students. Good environment to teach, good coworkers. Curriculum was good. Students were getting a good education.

Cons

Micro managing from corporate. Too much focus on keeping students enrolled and not enough on making sure they learn. If corporate had supported the existing programs instead of just the newest, the existing programs would not have collapsed.
