Pros
Working as a Care Promoter II in a low-income, culturally diverse community was incredibly rewarding. I’ve built strong relationships with my older patients, earning their trust and making a real impact on their healthcare. The diversity of backgrounds had taught me cultural awareness and adaptability, while the fast-paced environment has strengthened my clinical skills. Despite the challenges, the fulfillment of knowing I made a difference kept me motivated while working there.
Cons
It was a lack of support, minimal help from the CCM, making daily tasks more challenging. Constantly understaffed, leading to increased workload and stress. Unfair Treatment, employees are not treated equally. No Incentives, bonuses were reduced, lowering motivation. Compensation does not match the workload or industry standards. Those issues made it difficult to feel appreciated or supported in the workplace.
