      Aggressively moving forward to provide enterprise services for the entire Dept of Defense

      Pros

      DISA is doing a great job becoming the go-to service provider for Enterprise E-mail (DEE), Collaboration (DCO) and Sharepoint services (DEPS). The agency is also embracing a Bring your own Device (BYOD) mindset for mobile communications and has over 1000 pilot iPads, IPhones and Droid devices that are capable of receiving Enterprise E-mail.

      Cons

      While there are many smart and dedicated professionals, there are also scores of workers who do the bare minimum and do not have the work ethic to move the agency towards the Director's vision.

      you can gain experience quickly as well as marketability.

      Cons

      you must have thick skin to with stand the micro managing. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Paper work and policy monster blocks most of your projects. either partners have different standards or inter office policies are different. No advancement unless you move to Meade.
