Like many large companies, first (and sometimes second level managers) are not the best and are promoted based on who they know or how well they are liked. Pick your manager carefully when looking at opportunities to make sure you'll have the freedom and support when necessary to be successful. If you are diverse or over 50, not a good option.

Toxic and very unprofessional work environment. Good management is nonexistent. This Venture Capital company cannot seem to keep good employees happy. Office politics and drama at its worst. Beware.
