      Pros

      Interesting projects, cool people, ability to make an impact, but there also the ability to be yourself. People and managers are pretty flexible as long as you are engaged and get your work done. Company is looking for people to take initiative, and will provide (enough) resources in order to get the job done. You also have access to senior leadership, if necessary.

      Cons

      Some lack of information, but it is getting better. It is easier to get company wide info than info specifically tied to your area or team.

      Pros

      Well paid, good technology, reasonably flexible with regards to travel, work / life balance etc.

      Cons

      Bureaucracy nightmare, lack of communicated vision within IT, too many chiefs, HR department that is a perpetual motion machine (surveys, feedback forms, reviews, etc for the sake of it! Stop please!), "International" done wrong... typically only directors at a globla level speak to each other, not people in the trenches, US centric dictates on IT decisions which are often ignored because they don't take into account local conditions.

      Pros

      Work life balance, which is granted under the table. Dell does a great job assembling other people's creations into an inexpensive and customized package.

      Cons

      Constant changes of direction in some department. We change product definitions once a month... all the way through alpha and sometime beta. Stupid policies like Spans and Layers are real morale busters for people who are giving their all to make us successful.
