It’s a lord of the flies situation. Children managing children. Making up their own rules as they go along. Constantly promoting friends and unqualified people. Nobody has a clue on how to manage people destroying careers along the way. Was told “just hang in there, things will get better” as nauseum. Workload is not distributed evenly. Easy to sleep your way to a decent position. Short skirts go a long way here. Do not need to be a good worker to get ahead. Lots of made up positions where favorites can hide out. High turnover so knowledge gets lost and same mistakes are made over and over.

Some of the peripheral departments aren't great because of the bureaucratic nature related to a huge company (which is getting worse with the Exelon merger), like if you need HR can be a pain, lots of 'processes' for random easy things, IT dept is terrible.
