Pros

Deltek offers competitive salaries and a strong benefits package. The work itself is both varied and rewarding, especially given the company’s diverse customer base across industries. One of the most engaging aspects of the role is having full-lifecycle ownership of accounts—from onboarding to renewal—with significant autonomy and trust. In the past year, I’ve seen real progress in how the company supports that work. Responsibilities that previously sat solely with Customer Success are now more thoughtfully distributed across the right functional teams, and new internal tools reflect a growing commitment to modernization and employee enablement. Standardized onboarding and success playbooks have introduced more repeatable, scalable processes, and there’s still a deep bench of tenured team members who serve as invaluable resources for peer mentorship and enablement. Most encouragingly, leadership has become much more intentional and transparent about communicating strategy and tying it to operational changes. It’s clear they are heavily invested in the success of both the company and its people. They’ve shown they’re listening to employee feedback and implementing positive changes where it makes sense. Overall, it feels like Deltek is establishing itself as a progressive company that values both its customers and its workforce by investing in its products and its people. The future looks bright.

Cons

Portfolios can sometimes feel unbalanced, and more structured rebalancing could better support customer outcomes and team sustainability. Title progression and role calibration with peers aren’t always transparent or aligned with actual contribution; however, I’m encouraged by the introduction of the new Performance Assessment cycle and look forward to seeing it in action. While role clarity and cross-functional alignment are improving, maintaining that momentum—and reinforcing accountability frameworks—will be critical to sustaining success.
