      Great place to start working in automation in Australia.

      Pros

      The whole team and company is very supportive and understand work/life balance. The company is a leader in the industry, but the industry is slower and more conservative than tech or robotics (good and bad). Good company with very helpful people and attitude.

      Cons

      Pay is reasonable, but it is an industry with tight margins. Much of the elec and robotics engineering is limited to integration of COTS components and there is limited R&D in Australia.

      Pros

      I've experienced a lot of autonomy in working through tough, challenging issues. The details of work continue to change, allowing new challenges and opportunities for professional growth and learning without growing stale in my career. There is a real and genuine concern for each employee throughout the organization, with a focus on professional growth and job satisfaction as well as project success of course.

      Cons

      While it is great that the company is large and provides for many opportunities, that means there are always a lot of initiatives being implemented across the company. This can be difficult to keep up with an understanding of each of those initiatives and efforts across multiple departments.
