Pros

The employees are young and fresh out of college, VERY casual dress code, often have contests, office is decorated for the holidays, potlucks and "potluck contests" are common. Health benefits for Kaiser are fully paid for if you are in good health.

Cons

The first word that comes to mind, is nepotism -- family members are constantly hired and NEVER fired, even if inadequate. The majority of managers are friends or relatives of the owners-- they are hired w/o any proper credentials or degrees, for example, the "creative director/design manager" has no degree and takes painting classes at a junior college. This is a work environment that simply breeds negativity. Most workplaces, you will get positive kudos from colleagues when deserved. Managers and employees are constantly at each others throats. Morale is very low and employees complain about working here constantly. Not surprisingly, there is extremely high turnover, with an average of one person leaving the company per month. HR: plays favorites and will not discipline individuals who are in a favored group. HR should be impartial and fair. Her door is also paper thin so disciplinary actions can be heard outside her office. Compensation and Benefits: Not competitive whatsoever, do not expect a raise or bonuses -- even during the holidays. No matching 401K, either. 5 days vacation/year, simple health/dental and sick days (do not carry over) nothing else. Overtime: is NEVER paid, even though the sales team was urged to stay longer than 8 hours and work weekends. There is no room for advancement. This is not a place to retire or to grow your career. Company claims they are "growing" but they just installed 80 cubicles in a space meant for just 40 people. Company is hiring more people but downsizing in terms of personal space.

Pros

Great opportunity for development. Technical support is always available. Easy to access upper management if needed. The company has been growing a lot, so they are always hiring new people and moving up from within. Very casual atmosphere with fun activities for holidays and birthdays. Overall, this is a much better Co to work for than my last job at a larger corporation. The other negative reviews are from people who probably did something wrong and were dealt with accordingly, and are now being big babies about it.

Cons

You will gain weight from 'snack day' Thursdays...but it is so worth it!! Your Birthday is not a personal Holiday :(
