Pros

Colleagues are great. Everyone is bringing their A game, all the time. It's a breath of fresh air to not have to discount certain employees.

Cons

The pace is fast, and we're always pushing to get as much done as possible. Sometimes we over index on doing the easiest version of the hard thing, but we at least can pivot quickly to iterate.

Pros

- The mission to put our members first! Working for a company hyper focused on their member/customer is extremely motivating. - Devoted has a very fast-paced work environment with ambitious and exciting goals. Each day is never the same, so having the opportunity to step outside comfort zones (and being encouraged to do so) has allowed me to grow and learn so much. It's certainly challenging but rewarding. - Collaboration is never scarce and works well with the way I love to work so I couldn't be more grateful that I work for team and company that embodies the "we're all in this together" mindset. - Being able to work cross functionally with other teams outside my department, too, is a huge plus. - Healthcare benefits are wonderful

Cons

While working from home is a pro, I do wish I could see my team in-person more often!

Pros

I've worked for many NGOs and non-profits, and Devoted Health is by far the most mission-driven organization I've worked at. Everyone truly and deeply cares about doing what's right for our members, and is given the latitude to go the extra mile to do so. All of my colleagues are also truly effective, creative, genuinely caring professionals, and I learn so much from my colleagues everyday. Company leadership also does a good job of being transparent about company data and priorities and creating a culture where people from all levels of the organization are able to put forth ideas and solve problems and the best idea, no matter where it comes from, wins.

Cons

The company moves really quickly, which can be overwhelming, especially at first, for people who have never worked at a start-up before. While it's not the expectation, because everyone at the company is so mission-driven and diligent, a lot of people work long hours, but managers are good about being flexible with things like kids pick up, doctors appts, etc., so I've never had an issue with work/life balance.
