No major complaints for the Mt Laurel office. Wish more of the company had the flexible work culture that Mt Laurel does, but overall it's pretty good

Pros

I think your experience really has to do with your office. I very rarely have to work over 40 hours a week. This is something that is rare in the industry, and one of the main reasons I’ve stayed as long as I have. If you want to work over 40 hours, you get paid for every extra hour. The salaries are a bit lower than other companies, but it equals out when you think about how many hours they have to work. Just like all the other engineering companies, the work is fast paced and you have constant deadlines, You never have time to take a break and slow down. I personally thrive in this type of environment. I’ve always been encouraged to take time off. If you need extra time after having a baby or the death of a relative, they will always let you take as long as you need (unpaid or paid). My schedule is flexible, and I can go into the office or stay home whenever I want. I really like my coworkers, I love that dewberry is inward focused and always trying to promote from within. If you’re right for the job they’ll never pass you up in favor of an outside candidate. If you don’t get the job it generally means that you’re not ready for the position. I’m pretty happy.

Cons

Benefits: The benefits are really lackluster. The 401k match is only 2%, which is so low. No bonuses unless you’re senior management. The PTO is low in comparison to other firms of the same caliber. Work: The projects can be boring. The clients want to spend the least amount of money possible, and that never equates to good design. Staffing: We really struggle to find good people. I think this is common in every industry though. Overall, the main problem is really the benefits.
