Pros

1. Dexis has been growing exponentially, and, thankfully, the leadership team has been very focused on how to manage this growth well. Administrative services are great and there is a concerted effort to make sure staff across projects find ways to connect. There are organized 'coffee talks' where interested staff get paired with other staff we don't know to get to know each other better, we have a quarterly top chef competition, and biweekly happy hours. 2. Chiefs of Party and project leadership are given the autonomy needed to self-manage and make decisions; this goes for projects based in D.C. as well. There isn't any sign of micromanagement, and project teams are left alone to focus on how best to carry out their work. 3. HR carries out a monthly staff barometer to get feedback on how staff feel and what we need. More importantly, if you give feedback, it is actually addressed within a couple of months. 4. Great work-life balance, though this may be different depending on team. 5. Tuition support - 1,500 a year that can be rolled over. Overall, this is a great place to work. If you are hard-working, collaborative, and committed to your work, you will easily do well and have fun here.

Cons

1. Project teams (non-corporate positions) have specific sub-cultures; some are more aligned with the company's overall culture than others. When the project team has a great culture, you'll be happy, but it's important to know whicht project you're getting on, who the CoP is, and what that team's operating environment is like. 2. It's not entirely clear to me what Dexis's overall purpose and vision are or what makes us different or better than our competitors. Maybe it's just about the culture and environment we have, but other than that, I'm not sure. 3. Unless you are very senior, you will be sitting in a cubicle in an open space set-up. It's a bit noisy with harsh lighting. On the flip side, our location is perfect (Metro Center) so real estate is too expensive to have some of the bigger office spaces you would find in other places. 4. There is limited vacation and sick time (all combined under paid time off or PTO). There is no paid maternity or paternity leave.

Pros

As a contractor employee working for Dexis but assigned to a bigger customer like a federal agency, Dexi's does a great job in letting the customer be as flexible as possible with a like work balance.

Cons

as a contractor: Pay is good but know your worth. You could possible get paid more if you fight for it.

Pros

Absolutely no pros at Dexis!!!

Cons

People, do not trust Dexis CEO, he's a liar, and very corrupt. His company conducts lots of illegal activities, charges personal expenses to the government, recruits incompetent people who let him do that.
