Pros
Company-sponsored trips and events, the people working there are great, much of the work was interesting and fun. Reasonable hours (depending on project), and benefits were pretty good.
Cons
Employees are regularly expected to sign a restrictive and vague noncompete agreement whose list of competitors varies every year, leading to confusion about which employers are off-limits; I don't know if this is intentional. Nonetheless, management isn't afraid to pursue litigation- this is verifiable in the Orange County Clerk of Courts public records (online). Several of us had complained about irregular pay increases- or lack thereof. Other companies have been wary of hiring former DiSTI employees over fears of potential legal issues for the employee. All of these can contribute to wage deflation and career-limiting concerns.
