      Pros

      Easy job. Brainless. Good for high school students. Flexible schedule. You get to interact with lots of people. You always get to take your breaks on time.

      Cons

      Being in the parking lot late at night by yourself. Checkers look down on you. Don't always get off the days that you requested. Paying union dues

      Managers were pretty nice, hours somewhat flexible, reasonable break periods compared to other retail jobs, variety of positions, retail experience

      Cons

      Unionized workplace, no real opportunities for advancement, hard to get time off around holidays and sometimes weekends, often understaffed from high turnover

      Pros

      Regular breaks every 2 hours, store management was friendly and (for the most part) listened to employee concerns. I was promoted to stocker after 4 months at my store with a manager recommendation. Unionized. Busy days with not a lot of downtime.

      Cons

      I was regularly given 30+ hour weeks as a part-time employee, full time college student. Grocery customers are frequently rude. Full-time employees had their hours cut severely around the time I left.
