The company has tons of perks from your seamless account, unlimited vacation, flexible hours, casual attire, gym reimbursement, MTA reimbursement, cool people to work with, etc.

Cons

- Lack of opportunity growth. - High turnover rate. - Many young and inexperienced managers. - Leadership team sends out mixed messages. - Favoritism. - No clear strategy for future growth. - Lack of communication and transparency. - Lack of controls.

Pros

This is the first place I've worked that truly felt like home. My co-workers are like family and immediately welcomed me in. This is the first office I've seen that's completely devoid of any workplace drama (that I've seen) There's lots to do and plenty of ways to improve, but the opportunity and potential for what DO can accomplish puts this company at the top of my list of "Best Places to Work" Plenty of great perks, great collaborative culture in an open office environment, very talented co-workers in all departments (marketing, community, technical roles, engineering) The executives have a clear vision and are always approachable and down to earth.

Not hiring fast enough, but not many other negatives

** DigitalOcean has a lot of money, customers, traction. ** The name is strong, developers really love DigitalOcean. ** If you're able to navigate a very early stage successful startup the ability to make an impact is real.

Cons

** The company is heavily skewed towards very opinionated, inexperienced, 2* year olds. ** The "C executives" don't seem to know what they are doing, although try hard. ** Culture is not what they think it is.
