Pros
After being with the company for a few weeks I feel confident in saying the recruitment and on boarding process here at DO has set the bar high for any future employers of mine. The interviewers were well prepared, accommodating, and respectful. They didn't focus in on the same questions in each interview and it was clear they had a structure to their process.
Furthermore once on board they continued to impress me with their orientation, continual training/education of the various teams here at DO, the documentation on how to get setup in each of their systems, the organizational transparency from Ben (CEO), and the "slower than normal" ramp up which allowed me to be more strategic about approaching my new role.
Additional pros: great snack selection, an allowance for breakfast/dinner if you're in the office early/late, free lunch, a company that's clearly optimized for the digital age, great people, internal hackathons, commuter benefits, a monthly allowance toward a gym membership, and a "BEACH" with great views of NYC! No, it's not a real beach but rather a place to lounge, take in the views, and enjoy the sun while you work.
Overall I hope this review helps others and I'll try to update it after 6 months.
Cons
Glassdoor requires you to include a con but I have nothing to add at this time. I did think of a few more pros to add while attempting to come up with a con so that should tell you what you need to know about DO.
