Pros
-the "employer cares" programs for helping employees who have fallen on hard times are absolutely phenomenal -good starter company -great brand recognition, everyone has a dtc story -the culture -lots of promotion from within -great benefits packages -pay for school
Cons
-the culture (or more accurately when it isn't actually followed up on) -firm believers in exploiting lower level employees without adequate industry standard pay -a large company living a small company mindset -moves far to slow for current trends -terribly inadequate management in many departments many people in positions "by chance" -open door policy is really just lettering on paper -dead end job unless you are willing to put in 15+ years -hilarious 6 month "job change period" where they use you for free work and then never adjust your salary to your new job -the company has changed a lot recently, there is now a clash between "culture" and the real world and DTC is having an identity crisis, terrible time to join in -executives are out of touch and living in the 80's/90's or something -its a big box store with a dangerous business model once amazon steps in
