Pros

Bonuses, team play, good relations between management and backroom workers. Good benefits when you go full time, especially 401K matching.

Cons

Managers promoted too young, experience wise. Discount Tire veterans dont get as many promotions, especially the more experienced senior assistant managers.

discount trains you to be promoted, we want all of our employees to get promoted everyone to be a manager, but you have to want it, you have to want the dream. if your not interested as a full time job come get experience as a part timer. plus we have all the fun everyone else is missing out on.

Cons

as a full timer you have to work alot of hours the pay is great, and you have fun so its worth it.

Cons

The downsides of working at Discount Tire Company are a few that had I known when I started I would have thought twice. The long hours you work at Discount Tire are some of the worst I have ever worked for. I am at work more than I am with my own family. You have to put your life on hold to work for Discount Tire Company.
