Not worth your time

Pros

You can pride yourself in keeping people safe on the road by simply putting air in people's tires or balancing their wheels. Scheduling is very lenient and requesting days off is almost always approved. Part-timers can get tuititon reimbursement, but a small amount compared to full-timers. There's a 30% discount on tires, not too sure on wheels. Military gives another 5% and a AAA insurance number gives 10$ off each tire. Each of these discounts should be stackable, if not, management is lying to you. Just don't be scummy and work for a month, get tires, then leave.

Cons

Depending on your store, management may offer you the worst schedules (ex: 11am-2pm). Management may also pull you out of your 1-hr lunch if the store gets busy. Customers also don't think about how you're keeping them safe on the road everyday, they just want the vibrations in their car to go away or the low air pressure light on the dash to go off. If your store is always busy, which you can check on their website under hours, you'll might be close to a healthy amount of hours each week. Otherwise, say hello to a 15-hr workweek. I've worked at a total of two locations in 3 years and I'm still not a manager only working with customers and not working in the back. Progress is very slow and time-taking, not worth the wait. One more thing, in El Paso, starting is $13.50 as of January 2024. I've been here long and am only at $16.50, which sucks. You do not get paid enough to deal with cranky old people driving Porsches coming back to the store weekly for an issue that they don't have time to fix. Look for another job unless this is the absolute last resort.

Questionable place to work

Pros

Great pay if you stay for a few years, great benifits, amazing bonuses (not commission), they do fun outing for the employees!

Cons

Long hours (50 plus hours weekly) if you are management of any kind than can put you are any store with in one hour drive from where you live so that means up to two hours a day driving to and from work on top of the 10 hour days making the 50 plus hour weeks into 60 plus hour weeks. A lot of the store managers and Avps talk down to you like a dog or cuss at you even if you are doing nothing wrong. I had a senior assistant manager get in my face and threaten to punch me in my face and cooperate didn’t do anything about it so I quit. I found a better job making more working way less hours.
