People who work at HQ love it. But creative vision is lacking and career growth is a problem.

Pros

Many people have great experiences working at Discovery networks. It's easy to take pride in the brand. The company is successful overall. And the perks at the Silver Spring, MD headquarters are great.

Cons

But if you don't work at HQ, it's tougher. The perks are fine but nothing above average. The creative culture seems risk-averse and cautious. And the path to career growth and recognition is unclear.

- The brand is highly respected - Some of the TV products are amazing - The web development / architecture team is really top notch technically - Relaxed friendly work environment - Accessibility of management - Culture of openness / constant improvement

Cons

There's definitely some political games and petty squabbles The intranet is a hellish mess of spaghetti systems
