Pros

Some fun cloud native development

Cons

Terrible salary. It was mediocre at best and the amount they force you to pay for insurance is absurd! When the economy turns, you'll find out just how expendable you are. Arbitrary deadlines that meant nothing except working extra hours to force work to complete on time. Business doesn't have a good outlook. They are short sighted and unless you have been part of the company for 10 years, you are expendable. No joke. Docutech doesn't make decisions based on data, they shoot from the hip and don't listen to their dev team. Business knowledge is hoarded by devs who have been there a long time. It's like they are afraid that sharing knowledge devalues themselves. They will leave you to hang out to dry even when you ask for someone to explain a process so you don't break it. You will be responsible for everything from DevOps to QA. There is no separation of responsibilities, which can be fun, except you aren't given the time to do anything well. Basically, you will be required to throw something together with spit and duct tape and pretend it'll work forever. Sooooooooooo much old tech debt and a hard refusal to address any of it. The motto is "don't touch that, it works how it is." Yet, in reality, it doesn't work.

Pros

Free lunch is catered on Tuesdays and sometimes Friday. Free Soda, (Root Beer!)

Cons

Often unclear definition of roles and responsibilities. Most of management is unqualified for their jobs, which will directly impact you negatively for a variety of reasons. Preparing to expand aggressively but efforts are over exaggerated. Very high employee turn over, both from quiting and firing. (Some of the firing was very deserved though) Lack of implementing certain important policies-cover your butts if you deal with anything sensitive especially in IT. Company policies are unknown by most including management so don't count on that protecting you in certain cases. I think I'll stop there but basically, don't believe these 5 star reviews, take a job here expecting it to be a temporary stepping stone, sit back relax and enjoy the show. (Look around at any given time and you'll probably see YouTube on someone's screen) PS It wouldn't surprise me if a fair number of people get laid off soon.. Especially from some larger departments like mine.

Pros

I make pretty good money while not really doing much at all. Also there are some sweet babes working here so it's easy to find a date on a Friday Night

Cons

The CEO is a bit of a jerk. I've heard him tell off customers with legitimate complaints. He jumps to conclusions
