Pros

The money and overtime you are able to get from this company is amazing and I loved this family owned business. Very much like family the longer your with the company your still a part of the team, and combined effort with employees with good work ethics make this company what it is. With merge or buyout from pit Ohio have this company extra funding it needed to upgrade and update equipment making most drivers happy, we knew we had equipment that would be more dependable. Despite not getting box trucks with airbag suspension, and few hino trucks they purchased over the years I think they did fine upgrading the fleet. Best part will always be my amazing coworkers, and even now I really do miss joking and having great conversations in the morning with my brother and sister family of drivers. Most of the employees are amazing people, and have great common sense are helpful and thoughtful. Last pro is the pay. I improved so much of my life at this company, and reached stability I could have only dreamed of. I still have a lasting impression from working with this company, and honest since I’ve been gone I have felt lost. It’s rare to find a job I bond with that much, but I’d be back in a second if I had that great opportunity. Non union, great environment, not micro managed to death, unlike some employers I believe they value drivers being able to manage the routes and challenges, and trust the communication they have. Not many other trucking companies I worked for possessed this gift. It’s unique.

Cons

Getting time off from work for personal needs (fixed) they addressed and realised. The fact the driver break room only has two bathrooms one for men and females, and to our amazement “the dock workers camp in the bathroom!” Still love em but🤷‍♂️ usually when y’all did that I’d have to just run to the workers restroom like forest Gump. Then realize there is no running in the dock area, pinching squeeming and cursing till I’m relieved. For all 5 years I was there never failed to make it either. My last con: I believe my job should have been fought to keep me more than what it was, and I have more confusion and pain why it had to end the way it did. But I cared about everyone at that company from corporate all the way to the smallest job. And really do hope everyone and all realized that. Even if done wrong, or even talked down to by few, I still respected everyone valued your role at this company like my own. Fact I’d still be there if I could be.
