      Hands Down Best Place I've Ever Worked

      Pros

      DoiT is a rapidly growing startup company. The opportunities that come with that are fantastic. Each of us legitimately gets to contribute to how we grow as a company. Every opinion is valued. I've worked at other startups and really enjoy the startup culture. I have to say that DoiT is absolutely the most collaborative company I've worked at. I love having a real hand in growing the company and getting to be far more than simply an individual contributor. Company culture: this is by far the best team of teams I've ever worked with. There are virtually no egos here even though we have a lot of truly top talent. Everyone here is eager to learn from each other and we're frequently collaborating to troubleshoot problems or sharing lessons learned with the larger group. We have a lot of top tech talent in our company and we work closely with a lot of really technical customers. I've never previously had this much exposure to so many cool technologies. If you love tech, there's no better place to be. I'm surrounded by people who know so many cutting edge technologies incredibly well and it's a constant learning curve for me (that's a great thing!). If you really have a growth mindset, this is a fantastic place to work. Work/life balance. We get unlimited time off and management is serious about it. WFH is understandably the default now and will continue after the pandemic as well. There's no tracking of hours because we're not paid for our time; we're paid for our expertise. This business model is so much more enjoyable than any I've worked for anywhere else.

      Cons

      It's challenging to stay organized and keep on top of things. There's a ton of work to do and we can't grow fast enough. Keeping up with the work is challenging. I'm looking forward to getting good tools to help automate processes and ease the manual effort. We're very aware of this issue and are actively working toward getting there. Scaling is difficult, especially at such a rapid pace. I see this as more of a good challenge than a real con. Ironically, work/life balance. Even though we get as much time off as we want, many of us work well beyond the standard 40 hour work week because we love what we do.

      Awesome place to be - Great Teams & Amazing Growth

      Pros

      The company is growing fast and continues to hire exceptional people across the business with the talent and desire to build something amazing. Massively successful and making big investments in the Cloud Management Platform with the addition of a lot more Engineers and Product Management. Leadership team is approachable and focused on scaling - They want to do this the right way. Company has transitioned to fully remote with no plans to go back to the old way of doing things - it just makes more sense give how globally distributed we are. Gave everyone $1,000 to help jazz up our home office space which was really nice.

      Cons

      Nothing really - The company needs to take more steps to document things but just launched an internal Wiki which should help.

      A company that grows with you

      Working at DoiT for the past 3.5 years has been one of the most meaningful seasons of my life. I joined as a new face in IT, unsure of what lay ahead - and I leave with not only a wealth of professional growth, but a heart full of gratitude. This company didn’t just support my work, it supported me through two pregnancies, big transitions, and all the unpredictable turns life can take, I was met with understanding, flexibility, and true kindness. My manager was the kind of leader you hope to find but rarely do - someone who trusted me, challenged me, and always made space for my voice at the table. I was given opportunities to lead, build, solve, and create. I was never boxed in. I was always encouraged to stretch into what was next. Leaving was not an easy decision, but it was made easier by the incredible foundation this place gave me. It’s rare to walk away from a job with such deep appreciation. To anyone considering a role here: you won’t just find a position, you’ll find people who invest in you, listen to you, and cheer you on - even when your path takes you somewhere new.

      As with any workplace, not every team dynamic was perfect, but it didn’t take away from the overall positive experience.
