Comfortable place to work, but old school

Pros

Dolby has an eclectic employee base, which means anyone can find their place here. Every other Friday off is an insanely nice job perk (U.S. employees only though). Pay is top notch for the industry.

Cons

Lots of issues with transparency and proactive thinking. Dolby is a pretty old school place to work. Health benefits aren't great. Company tends to re-org and/or do a layoff every 2 years or so, and little ever changes.

Pros

Always encouraged to keep learning No issues getting approval for training or workshops Company is focused on innovation and encourages all employees to think out of the box

Cons

Not a lot of room to move up Low turn over at the senior level (see above) so you might be stuck with bad managers for a long time
