Pros

I worked at Dolby for 7 years ~Great benefits, 9/80 plan is incredible. Every other Friday off ~Casual company culture, not a total grind like other big firms. I enjoyed having a great work life balance.

Cons

~Seemingly consistent re-orgs and small rounds of layoffs. ~Slow moving. Slow to make decisions. ~Little to no growth opportunities ~Lack of diversity

Too Much Fear-Based Management

Pros

Great technologies, good name recognition.

Cons

No accountability for poor performance within senior management. Many functions operate in fear of taking risks, which results in slow and bad decisions. 9/80 work schedule attracts too many unmotivated people to the company.
