Pros

Smart engineers. Wonderful company mission and for the most part, an equally enthusiastic customer base. You are actually making a significant difference to the field of entertainment. Exciting technology space. Every other Friday off is fantastic for work/life balance. The executive leadership team truly wants to improve and do the best for their people and customers. The organization in general has an above average EQ.

Cons

Slow decision making with very little accountability. Struggling to find post audio licensing identity. Inverted pyramid of effort, lots of layers 'leading,' too few delivering. A lack of next generation commercial and bottom line success has created a political culture where middle management is desperate to attach themselves to any potential opportunity. Traditionally it has been an engineering first company, which can be great if you are an engineer. If not, it can be a hard road to have your voice heard. The senior leadership team (with a few exceptions) is still fairly young and learning what it means to operate a company at this level, the associated growing pains should be expected but can be hard on the organization. Too little diversity.

Pros

None, none, none none, none

Cons

If you really want to do work, in a company with a respectful atmosphere avoid this place like the plague. The incentives 9/80 schedule etc; are great but attracts the worst kind of politically motivated management who want titles but not the work. This is especially true about the video team in Sunnyvale.
