Pros

Great concepts, business model of IP licensing, good HR ideas, full on effort in the diversity and inclusion areas (must have been problematic previously, since they seem to be going overboard now), decent pay, good equipment, mostly nice people.

Cons

High turnover in a company that relies heavily on institutional knowlege. .(meaning systes are not so well designed that it's easy to step in and know what to do and how things work)..This means it can be disorganized with a lot of confused processes and people. This is common in a lot of big tech companies that rely on their brand, products, and IP and let the rest slide, resulting in gross operational inefficiencies. the Dolby team needs to work better together, and maybe that means better leadership on the field rather that at the top... and to get that, they need to compensate and reward better leadership on the lower ranks.
