Pros

Teamwork, full time employee benefits

Cons

Not enough hours, too many part time employees that can't get enough hours, expected to work like a horse, not enough labor budget to staff store effectively

Pros

I got to meet different people everyday. It has it's own community of people comimg together shopping in their community store

Cons

The amount of hours given to each store is not realistic. You are expected to complete many task each day and weekly but the amount of hours given for the employees to complete the task created a lot of pressure on the management of the store

Pros

Great start to management if you have never managed.

Cons

No work life balance, store mgr work 6 days 48 - 60 hour per week, DM's take away your labor hours, required to be fully staffed and schedule PT associates 10hr per week and expect them to travel to different stores to gain more hours. The company does not care about the staff, the store conditions, or the customers. 99% of DG's across the country are ran poorly, dingy, dirty, and shelves are empty. Store managers are expected to manage the business and do all the work on the sales floor because you have to run the store on a skeleton crew, 2 people pre shift.
