Pros

(TL;DR: Overall, the only reason I've stayed so long is PURELY because of my amazing team. My manager is forgiving, laid back, and WAY too generous, and the rest of the team are simply hard workers who are trying to survive, and have just an ounce of fun while doing it) + In my personal experience, my peers/managers have been fab to work with + Very easy work () + Laid back environment (depending on who's your managers) + Access to Get Paid Early system (Dailypay) + Flexible scheduling

Cons

(TL;DR: From someone who has Sensory processing sensitivity, is on the spectrum, ADHD, and overall has a really hard time with confrontation, I please urge anyone who has a similar diagnosis as me, to keep looking for a different job. As I've said, if it wasn't for my compassionate team, I would have quit so long ago. This job is very harsh on your mental wellbeing. I'd be rich if I was paid every time I'd been harassed by customers. Dollar Tree absolutely does not justify waking up stressed every morning, worried about what customers you'll be forced to put up with that day) - Customers WILL treat you like dirt at some point, and there's absolutely no getting around it. - At our Dollar Tree at least, I would argue the type of customers Dollar Trees' attract are the same ones a gas station would bring. Let's just say, half of your customers will be the manic and downright strange types, probably high off something... - $12.50 /hr isn't a livable wage - Don't expect a consistent schedule, but that could also be an upside for people who have very flexible schedules - No bonuses. My bonuses only ever came from my manager's pocket for Christmas. Something purely out of the goodness of his heart. Never gotten anything straight from the company, or better, reimbursed him for said bonuses.
