Stable and fairly low stress position for the majority of the time.

Cons

Tons of overtime. Constantly shifting priorities, lack of communication from management and from other departments. No real career growth opportunities or modern technical skills in use. Likely a very stable job long term but also an industry that will be hard to pivot from.

Training is horribly designed. Turnover rate has created a large lack of experience. Workload is not fairly distributed between employees of different skill levels Employees lower on the payscale do more work than others Work life balance is tested and you will get pressed to constantly work overtime Northern VA is the red headed step child of the Virginia organization and is not compensated close to being fair for the significant cost of living difference to Richmond HQ
